About the EIA Summit

Join us on the journey to the European Innovation Area

The 1st European Innovation Area Summit, which is organized at the time of the publication of the Commission Innovation Communication, will be a great opportunity to discuss the role and contributions of the innovation stakeholders for the implementation of Europe’s future Innovation Agenda.

The 8 Focus Areas as described in the EIA Manifesto are cornerstones of the summit programme. They are along the lines of the upcoming Communication priorities that will guide the innovation policy activities of the European Commission and the European Parliament in the years to come.

K4I Forum Leaders at the 10th European Innovation Summit

Innovation and the development of new technologies are not objectives on their own. They must have a purpose. Besides their contribution to competitiveness and technology sovereignty, they must have an impact on climate change and help preventing the collapse of the planetary ecosystems. Green transformation is the ultimate solution for a sustainable future. Deep tech, green tech, digi tech and the talents behind need to be at the heart of future innovation policies.

Our Summit Classics

Women-led VCs & StartupsPowering the Future

There needs to be more women investors, more funding and more investment in women-led startups and entrepreneurs. Talented women that drive a sustainable future.

Innovation cohesionStrengthening local innovation ecosystems

The gap in innovation performance remains larger than the gap for most other basic economic indicators, such as GDP per capita, employment, and productivity. This can be overcome by connecting and supporting talent from all over Europe.

Artificial IntelligenceHow AI Can Effectively Support Sustainable Development!

Artificial Intelligence has been high on our agendas since we organized the AI & Big Data for Innovation Summit in 2019. Now more than ever we need AI to solve growing challenges. Responsible use however is the prerogative.
